About the Role

The role focuses on designing and implementing labour relations strategies across Europe and Latin America, working closely with senior leadership and diverse teams to foster constructive employee relationships while navigating complex organisational changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a cohesive labour relations strategy covering Europe.
- Lead engagement initiatives with European and local works councils, unions, and employee representatives.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on labour risks and opportunities.
- Support organisational transformations including restructures, mergers, business transfers, technology implementations, and policy changes.
- Oversee consultations and negotiations related to compensation plans, performance management, and adoption of new technologies such as AI tools.
- Ensure compliance with EU directives and national labour laws by monitoring legislative developments and creating governance frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, legal, rewards, finance, communications, and business units to align labour relations with company goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Over 10 years of experience in labour relations, including establishing and scaling labour relations or works council functions.
- Proven track record leading consultations and negotiations with works councils and unions across multiple European countries.
- Experience with European Works Council (EWC) directives, country-specific co-determination laws, and collective bargaining on essential business matters.
- Preferred experience involving German works council co-determination and EWC establishment and consultation.
- Strong background in employment law and organisational change management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities at executive levels within complex, matrixed environments.
- Advanced degree such as a master's preferred, alongside multilingual capabilities.
