Position Summary

The Data Entry Officer will be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining merchant data within the Moniebook platform. This role ensures precise and timely data entry to support fast onboarding, reliable reporting, and flawless customer service. The position reports to the Lead, Onboarding, and is based in Owerri Municipal and Owerri West, operating in an outsourced hybrid work mode.

Key Duties

  • Accurately enter and update merchant records including products, SKUs, prices, inventory, and customer profiles.
  • Handle bulk data imports from spreadsheets, ensuring data completeness and correctness before upload.
  • Maintain compliance with Moniebook's data standards and naming conventions.
  • Prepare merchant accounts by populating product, inventory, and configuration data on schedule.
  • Review incoming merchant data templates for errors or omissions and coordinate corrections as needed.
  • Assist in setting up catalog structures, tax info, and payment parameters per onboarding instructions.
  • Conduct data validation checks to detect and correct errors, duplicates, or outdated information.
  • Cross-verify data consistency across spreadsheets, CRM systems, and POS backends.
  • Document and escalate data irregularities for resolution by appropriate teams.

  • Possesses 1 to 3 years of experience in data entry or data operations, ideally within SaaS, retail technology, or fintech sectors.
  • Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and attention to detail managing large datasets.
  • Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets, familiar with functions such as VLOOKUP and basic formulas.
  • Knowledgeable about CRM platforms and POS/back-office SaaS applications.
  • Strong organizational abilities with capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience with bulk CSV uploads, data migration, or catalog management is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with retail systems, inventory management, or POS platforms preferred.
  • Background in onboarding, implementation, or customer success support roles is beneficial.
