About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst to delve deeply into consumer and retail datasets, enabling the identification of market trends and category performance to drive actionable business insights. You will play a key role in discovering untapped product opportunities through thorough market and competitor analysis, while collaborating across teams to optimize operations and product assortments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of consumer and retail data to identify trends and assess category performances.
- Perform gap analyses on competitors and analyze customer search data to reveal emerging product segments and unmet consumer needs.
- Engage with stakeholders from Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product departments to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Support day-to-day operational tasks including maintaining optimal inventory, enhancing digital storefront displays, and assisting in onboarding new vendors to broaden product selections.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, capable of handling complex data manipulation.
- Motivated to acquire skills in advanced analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Google Analytics.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities to effectively present data-driven recommendations to Category Managers and external collaborators.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
