The role

Alpine Business Consulting is hiring a Data Analyst Assistant to support its consulting team while the reporting framework for the logistics client is rebuilt. The current environment contains inconsistent figures, making important decisions slower and more difficult. You will work with senior consultants to trace where data is breaking down and help clean up the underlying information.

This is a fully remote position, so you can work from your own space while staying connected with the team through online communication. Your work will mainly involve supporting configuration and testing activities, tracking how information flows from logistics operations into financial reports, spotting missing or mismatched data, and helping document the new processes being introduced. Since the project is designed for a clean transition to the client, you will also contribute to training resources and configuration documentation for handover.

Key responsibilities

• Compare spreadsheets and system outputs to spot mismatches in logistics data.
• Support senior consultants in translating source data into the new reporting tools.
• Carry out basic checks to confirm dashboard numbers align with validated source records.
• Prepare clear step-by-step notes for updates and configuration changes.
• Assist in creating straightforward report templates for monthly finance close activities.
• Maintain project tracking documents so the team can monitor data-cleaning progress.
• Join team meetings to review technical issues and delivery timelines.
• Arrange client documents and training assets to support a smooth final transfer.
