Data Analyst

About the Role

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Data Analyst on a 12-month contract basis to support a commercial airline company based in Atlanta, GA. This role involves close collaboration with operational teams to translate business needs into actionable, data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational teams to convert business requests into data analyses and recommendations.
• Construct complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from various sources.
• Analyze data trends and patterns to identify performance drivers.
• Validate data outputs to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Deliver clear, actionable findings to inform business focus areas.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or quantitatively focused roles.
• Proficient in intermediate SQL including aggregations, joins, subqueries, timestamps, and data transformations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting complex data clearly using Microsoft Office tools.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Currently performing satisfactorily in their existing position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior analytics experience.
• Familiarity with data visualization software like PowerBI or Tableau.
• Experience using scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
• Background in project management related to operational programs, including process evaluation and performance improvement identification.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Compensation and Terms

The position pays between $34 and $39 per hour on a W2 contract basis. There are no paid time off or benefits provided, though an ACA-compliant supplemental insurance package is available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to be employed on Primary Talent Partners' W2.
