About the Company
Coulson Aviation, based on Vancouver Island in Port Alberni, British Columbia, supports global wildfire response efforts through aerial firefighting missions across Canada, the US, Australia, and Chile. They are seeking a reliable and well-organized Crib Attendant to join their growing team.
Role Overview
This full-time position located onsite is essential to maintaining smooth hangar operations through the management of tools, equipment, and consumables, ensuring availability and proper control.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping the tool crib, hangar, and adjacent areas tidy and conducive to safe, efficient workflows.
- Distributing tools, equipment, and consumables to staff while carefully tracking all items to prevent loss.
- Monitoring stock levels, replenishing supplies, and reporting any shortages or irregularities.
- Ensuring maintenance, storage, and control of tools align with prescribed schedules and standards.
- Overseeing access to the tool crib and safeguarding the security of all inventory and equipment.
- Maintaining records for keys to company vehicles and ground support gear.
- Resupplying personal protective equipment such as earplugs and safety glasses.
- Managing inventory of flammable materials and identifying expired or soon-to-expire items.
- Serving as a courier for urgent aircraft parts during Aircraft on Ground scenarios.
Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred experience in tool crib operations, inventory management, warehouse, or related environments.
- Strong organizational abilities with acute attention to detail.
- Knowledge of inventory control and record-keeping principles.
- Basic computer literacy and aptitude to master inventory tracking software.
- Physical capability to handle materials, stand for long durations, and perform physical tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated while also able to contribute positively within a team setting.
- A commitment to safety and reliability in the workplace.
- Familiarity with aviation vocabulary or regulations is advantageous but not mandatory.
