Company Overview
Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea is part of the ambitious Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia. The resort is designed as a nature-led destination featuring 361 guest rooms, eleven dining experiences, a spa, and overwater restaurants overlooking the Red Sea and mangroves. It will be located beside an 18-hole championship golf course and is planned across 200 km of untouched coastline, with more than 90 pristine islands, dormant volcanoes, a rich marine ecosystem, and historic archaeological sites.
Role Summary
The property is looking for an experienced Credit Manager to oversee hotel credit activities in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to protecting the resort’s financial interests, managing client credit relationships, and supporting smooth cash flow across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and put into practice credit policies and operating procedures that help reduce financial exposure.
- Review credit requests and evaluate the credit standing of corporate accounts and travel partners.
- Oversee receivables and manage the recovery process for outstanding balances.
- Work closely with sales and finance teams to define credit limits and payment terms.
- Track the performance of the credit portfolio, spot emerging patterns, and flag possible risks.
- Handle payment arrangements and settle disputes involving overdue accounts.
- Make sure all credit activities follow applicable local and international financial rules.
- Prepare recurring reports and presentations for leadership review.
- Introduce, maintain, and improve credit management systems and related software.
- Guide, train, and supervise credit team members.
- Keep up with developments and current practices in credit management.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in credit management, ideally within hospitality.
- Professional credentials such as CCP or CCE are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of financial analysis and credit risk evaluation methods.
- Hands-on experience with accounting tools, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms.
- Background dealing with international clients and global financial practices is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial laws and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Comfortable performing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a busy environment.
- Strong command of English; Arabic knowledge is an added advantage.
