Credit Analyst

Role Overview

The Credit Analyst role at Cairo Bank Uganda involves assessing and endorsing credit applicants aligned to the bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties

• Assess credit proposals ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant legal frameworks.
• Support portfolio expansion and maintain its quality consistent with the bank’s strategic objectives.
• Facilitate prompt processing and approval of credit products respecting authorization levels and policy.
• Collaborate closely with Business Managers to build and sustain client relationships while promoting credit products.
• Compile regular credit performance reports for presentation to Senior and Board Credit Committees.
• Propose credit arrangements to approval committees accompanied by risk mitigation measures where needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required.
• Advanced education such as a Master’s degree or professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) or ongoing studies in banking enhances candidacy.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a credit analysis or similar capacity within the banking sector.
