Role Overview

Position Title: Coordinator II - Quality (RFI Coordinator)
Location: Fabrication Yard, Abu Dhabi

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the database containing all project documentation related to quality assurance.
  • Record all incoming documents for various projects, classify them, and send them to the appropriate quality engineer for assessment and approval.
  • Oversee the Request For Information (RFI) log, distributing daily RFIs to the relevant discipline inspectors promptly.
  • Compile weekly and monthly status reports reflecting documents reviewed by the Quality Engineers for assigned projects.
  • Ensure all project documents comply with ISO 9001/2000 Quality standards, which are subject to audits by external certification bodies.
  • Manage documentation related to internal audits, including audit records, quality improvement logs, customer complaints, and feedback.
  • Maintain and issue updated work procedures and related documents such as the quality manual and handbook when revisions occur.
  • Assist in coordinating and organizing Quality induction training sessions.
  • Handle general administrative functions such as receiving fax, mail, and courier communications to ensure smooth information flow; file and retrieve corporate documents and reports as needed.
  • Support managers in QA/QC with calendar scheduling and meeting management.
  • Arrange business travel plans for QA/QC personnel, covering flight and hotel bookings.
  • Organize in-house meetings including booking conference rooms and preparing and distributing meeting agendas.
  • Manage leave and holiday schedules for all QA/QC engineers and managers.
  • Control and distribute QA/QC inspection stamps to inspection staff.
  • Prepare minutes of meetings and draft formal correspondence for external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree qualification accompanied by at least 7 years’ experience as a Civil Quality Control (QC) Inspector.
  • Prior experience within the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors is required.
  • Experience working for major EPC contractors or their subcontractors is essential.
