Contract Manager - Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

Overview

This role is based in Carlow with some hybrid working options and is a full-time, permanent contract position offering a salary range of €80,000 to €95,000 plus benefits.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives from early design stages through commissioning and handover.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering design, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project programs, resources, finances, and subcontractors ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients and key stakeholders maintenance of strong communications and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, quality benchmarks, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, perform audits, and support project delivery.
• Lead and support project managers handling multiple concurrent projects.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience delivering Mechanical, Electrical, or MEICA projects.
• Track record managing multiple projects and leading project teams across disciplines.
• Solid commercial, contractual, and financial management expertise.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and site operations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and reporting skills.
• Exposure to water and wastewater projects is highly desirable; candidates from utilities, energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors are also considered.
• Comfortable working flexibly between office, site, and client environments.

Compensation and Benefits
