Role Overview

We are seeking full-time Concrete Finishers to join our on-site team in Cork. The successful candidates will be responsible for readying, placing, leveling, and finishing concrete across various civil RC structures and commercial builds. Daily activities include pouring concrete, using manual and power tools to shape and smooth surfaces, applying curing processes to enhance durability, and ensuring finished work meets quality and specification standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and place concrete accurately as per project requirements.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively to level and finish concrete surfaces.
• Apply curing treatments to ensure the longevity of concrete installations.
• Interpret construction drawings, site plans, and instructions thoroughly.
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and other trade professionals.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the working environment.
• Inspect completed concrete finishes for conformity to quality and specifications.
• Perform minor repairs, patching, and surface treatments when necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a Concrete Finisher, with emphasis on reinforced concrete structures and commercial projects.
• Strong practical proficiency in placement, leveling, troweling, and finishing techniques using relevant tools.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction plans and site instructions.
• Sound knowledge of site safety protocols and health and safety compliance.
• Physical capability to handle manual labor demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for long hours in varying weather conditions.
• Dependable with good punctuality and effective communication skills to function well within a team.
• Full-time commitment to on-site work in Cork and valid legal authorization to work in Ireland.
• Possession of trade qualifications, completed apprenticeships, or equivalent practical experience; prior involvement in civil or commercial construction is beneficial.
