Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Compliance Analyst to join our growing team. This hands-on position provides substantial responsibility and ownership, reporting directly to the Operations Director. The role involves close collaboration with advisors and senior management to ensure the firm remains compliant with regulatory mandates while maintaining an excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily regulatory compliance tasks and administration for the company.
- Perform client due diligence for new clients and conduct ongoing KYC and AML reviews including PEP and sanctions screening.
- Keep the firm's compliance registers, policies, and procedures (such as GDPR) up to date.
- Assist with preparing regulatory returns and filings for the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Review and audit client files to confirm adherence to both regulatory and internal standards.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and help implement any new compliance requirements.
- Support staff compliance training initiatives.
- Maintain records related to Fitness & Probity and Minimum Competency Code (MCC) requirements.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- One to two years of experience in financial services or a professional services environment.
- Relevant compliance certification (such as Compliance Institute Professional Diploma or LCOI) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT, MiFID II, and Central Bank regulations or a proven capacity to learn quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong curiosity and willingness to expand knowledge.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
- Confidence to challenge existing procedures and propose improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
