Overview
As a crucial member of the Group Compensation & Benefits (GC&B) team, focusing on the Medical Job Family, this role collaborates with GC&B Leads to develop, review, and implement compensation and benefits programs and policies across the NHG Health group. The goal is to support NHG Health institutions in attracting, motivating, and retaining talent aligned with business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the GC&B Leads with compensation and benefits matters related to the medical job family within NHG Health.
- Independently handle compensation and benefits reviews and projects.
- Engage in cross-institutional committees to harmonize standard operating procedures and frameworks for compensation and benefits concerning medical staff, including salary, bonuses, and employment terms.
- Support representatives and HR colleagues by clarifying policy changes, preparing relevant analyses, and facilitating decision-making processes.
- Help prepare recommendations and documentation for senior management approval.
- Participate in compensation and benefits projects by managing data, conducting simulations, and assisting with implementation under senior guidance.
- Conduct research and analyze compensation statistics, market trends, and practices to inform C&B strategies; stay updated on local best practices and legislative updates.
- Collaborate with the Policy team to review HR policies and information systems ensuring alignment with compensation changes affecting medical staff.
- Provide administrative and analytical assistance for renewing agreements with the Group Education office and establishing standard rates for teaching services.
- Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects at the Group level, such as group budgeting activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in compensation and benefits, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Basic understanding of total rewards concepts including salary structures, salary review processes, and market benchmarking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills being advantageous.
- Familiarity with local employment legislation such as the Employment Act and Industrial Relations Act is preferred.
