Community Nurse - Mayo

About the Role

Dovida is a global homecare provider dedicated to supporting individuals to live life on their terms. Currently, we seek a compassionate, qualified nurse with active NMBI registration to provide personalised clinical care at home for a young adult. The position focuses on promoting comfort, communication, and participation tailored to the individual's needs within a supportive small team environment including caregivers and fellow nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised, high-quality nursing care respecting the individual's unique strengths and requirements
• Assist with daily routines that enhance wellbeing and comfort
• Facilitate communication, engagement, and sensory stimulation activities
• Administer medications and adhere strictly to clinical care plans
• Operate specialist equipment safely and confidently
• Collaborate closely with the client’s family members
• Foster a respectful, positive, and empowering atmosphere
• Support caregivers in delivering safe, quality care through teamwork
• Maintain accurate care documentation and escalate issues as necessary

Candidate Profile

• Possesses Registered Nurse qualification (preferably RGN or RPHN) and active NMBI registration
• Demonstrates a person-centred approach with strong dedication to empowerment
• Experience or confidence in supporting individuals with complex care needs
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in non-verbal interaction methods
• Calm, compassionate demeanor with capability for autonomous work
• Dependable, professional, and committed to delivering excellent care
• Experience in NG feeding, manual handling, seizure management, or respiratory support is an advantage; training available for committed candidates
