Position Overview
The Communication Specialist role is tasked with carefully capturing sensitive information from incoming calls about workplace concerns, unethical actions, and compliance violations. This position plays a crucial role in enabling clients to gather insights that protect their workforce and promote ethical work environments. The role demands confidentiality and contributes significantly to the organization's mission of supporting ethical workplaces.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respectfully engage with callers, emphasizing confidentiality and the importance of their reports.
- Conduct structured interviews to gather precise and thorough information.
- Respond promptly to calls across various industries while adhering to standardized intake procedures.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all information both within the organization and externally.
- Support special projects and additional departmental duties as assigned.
- Comply with scheduled shifts including flexibility for 24/7 operations and weekend availability.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills focused on delivering results.
- Emotional strength to stay composed during distressing calls.
- Availability to work at least one weekend day weekly.
- Dedicated, quiet home workspace with internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload recommended.
- Typing proficiency of a minimum of 35 words per minute.
- Ability to multitask by interviewing callers while accurately documenting details.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn proprietary software.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, open work culture prioritizing innovation and execution.
- Willingness to incorporate AI and emerging technologies to improve job efficiency.
Compensation and Additional Information
- Starting hourly wage of $15.50 for standard candidates.
- Enhanced starting pay of $17.50 per hour for bilingual applicants.
