The position is for a Chief Operating Officer at a well-established, multi-location healthcare services organization poised for its next growth phase. This executive role focuses on enhancing operational performance, executing growth strategies, leading field teams, and building infrastructure within a distributed operational framework. Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement growth plans across several markets collaboratively with regional leaders.
• Create operational rhythms, provide training, and enforce accountability to enable sustained revenue growth.
• Convert commercial priorities into reliable, repeatable execution at local levels across dispersed teams.
• Design scalable operational models for current and newly integrated business units.
• Set up key performance indicators, standard operating procedures, and management protocols to boost consistency across regions.
• Develop standardized processes for service lines, regions, and support functions without compromising local agility.
• Identify critical workflows impacting speed, growth, profitability, and customer experience and drive improvements.
• Take full accountability for operating performance, including revenue, margins, and profitability.
• Collaborate with CEO and CFO to enhance financial visibility, forecasting, and disciplined execution.
• Work alongside HR to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee retention for a large workforce.
• Enhance field leadership capabilities and uphold standards across distributed teams.
• Manage the adoption of operational technologies and platforms to minimize manual tasks and improve scalability.
• Coordinate with technology and function leaders to ensure systems facilitate consistent execution.
• Lead and mentor a broad operational leadership team spanning multiple markets and departments.
• Drive accountability, urgency, and ownership throughout the organization.
• Comfortably alternate between providing strategic direction and resolving detailed field-level issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive healthcare industry expertise with senior operational leadership experience in distributed, multi-site, and multistate healthcare service organizations.
• Previous leadership responsibility over a workforce exceeding 2,000 full-time employees.
• Preferably significant experience with payor relationships, especially Medicaid.
• Demonstrated profit and loss responsibility for a private equity-backed business exceeding $300 million in revenue.
• Proven success in standardizing operations, systems, processes, and organizational culture across decentralized or integrated entities.
• Preferred location includes the Northeastern U.S. first, then Eastern or Central time zones.
