Chief of Staff to Managing Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to support the Managing Director in a manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure, and engineering environment based in Vadodara, Gujarat. This key leadership role demands a professional with 8 to 12 years of experience who can translate strategic leadership decisions into actionable plans and ensure their execution across the organization. The role involves high levels of trust, discretion, and interaction with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert the Managing Director's decisions and meeting outcomes into concise action plans with designated owners and deadlines.
• Lead follow-up efforts across various departments to guarantee timely completion of critical tasks.
• Develop clear, decision-centric briefs and preparatory materials for the Managing Director's meetings and reviews.
• Facilitate and chair weekly operational reviews and monthly business meetings in the Managing Director’s absence.
• Monitor and maintain real-time tracking of key project progress including budget status, risks, and delays.
• Serve as a liaison between the Managing Director and departmental heads ensuring seamless communication.
• Handle confidential, strategic, and cross-functional initiatives directly on behalf of the Managing Director.
• Identify systemic challenges in processes and governance, proposing practical improvements.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in operations, strategy, management consulting, or cross-functional leadership roles.
• Previous experience as Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant to CXO, or in PMO leadership is highly preferred.
• Strong background in manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
• MBA from a reputed Tier-1 or Tier-2 institute or Chartered Accountant with substantial business exposure preferred.
• B.E. or B.Tech combined with an MBA is considered a strong advantage.
• Proven track record of executing leadership directives and holding senior stakeholders accountable without direct authority.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High standards of integrity, discretion, and capacity to manage confidential information.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project or dashboard management tools.
