About the Company and Role
KPM Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. specializes in electrical testing and measurement equipment catering to transformers, power utilities, and industrial sectors. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, they are seeking a Chemical Lab Assistant to manage the application support and demonstration of transformer oil testing instruments such as DGA, Furan, Karl Fischer, Oil Acidity, BDV, among others.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate KPM's transformer oil testing instruments for customer demos and application support.
- Deliver basic technical training to customers on operating equipment, preparing samples, carrying out tests, and interpreting outcomes.
- Assist customers post-installation to ensure correct equipment use and provide ongoing support resolving operational queries.
- Perform demonstration tests using various oil testing instruments including DGA, Furan Analyzer, Karl Fischer Moisture Tester, Oil Acidity Tester, and BDV Tester.
- Maintain the internal laboratory environment, instruments, accessories, consumables, samples, and records accurately.
- Prepare instructional materials like application notes, demonstration procedures, and training content.
- Support activities related to equipment installation, commissioning, and customer demos.
- Occasionally travel to client locations for conducting training sessions, demos, and application assistance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in B.Sc. or M.Sc. Chemistry, Diploma or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience ranging from zero to three years, with fresh graduates having relevant practical skills encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and safe chemical handling procedures.
- Solid understanding of basic chemistry and standard laboratory methods.
- Effective communication and presentation capabilities.
- Comfortable working with testing devices and computer systems.
- Ready to travel occasionally for customer-related tasks.
Preferred Attributes
- Prior knowledge of transformer oil testing technologies such as DGA, Furan, Karl Fischer, acidity testing, BDV, or transformer condition monitoring is an advantage.
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with a customer-centric attitude.
