Role Overview
The Channel Account Manager role, based strategically in Dallas, is pivotal in advancing and scaling the dealer network nationwide. This field-focused position is responsible for generating and managing a sales pipeline, qualifying potential dealer partners, and facilitating the sales process while sustaining relationships with current dealers. The role collaborates closely with the Head of Sales, who handles key presentations and closing major deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to promising retail partners all over the U.S., following guidance from the Head of Sales.
- Lead proactive outbound efforts to generate dealer leads and maintain a healthy pipeline to meet sales goals.
- Qualify potential dealers and arrange meetings for the Head of Sales, including preliminary outreach and assessment calls.
- Provide support during on-site visits and meetings orchestrated by the Head of Sales, ensuring prospects are well-prepared for formal sales discussions.
- Assist with the sales cycle from initiation to closure and partner on strategic dealer relationships.
- Manage daily communication with assigned dealers to keep them engaged and aligned with the brand.
- Help onboard and train dealers and provide ongoing assistance, monitoring inventory and supporting reorder processes.
- Oversee 60 to 90-day pilot programs, track sales performance, and take corrective measures for underperforming pilots while fostering account expansion.
- Travel regularly to support dealers, conduct demos and test rides, and uphold strong brand representation in retail environments.
- Maintain pipeline data accuracy in CRM (HubSpot), ensuring prompt follow-ups and steady opportunity progression.
- Coordinate with operations for inventory and order fulfillment and provide systematic field feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in account management, channel sales, or field sales roles.
- Preferred experience includes working within dealer or retail networks.
- Background in mobility sectors such as electric vehicles, powersports, or premium consumer products is advantageous.
- Proven ability to generate pipeline and enhance revenue.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory; equivalent relevant experience is acceptable.
- Must be available for approximately 30% travel across the United States with frequent in-person dealer engagement.
- Reliable personal vehicle access is required; mileage and meal expenses incurred during business travel will be reimbursed.
