Role Overview
The Buyer position in the Supply Chain team focuses on managing purchase orders for contract manufacturing. This includes maintaining accurate order data within ERP systems such as Anvyl, Sage, and NetSuite, and ensuring suppliers meet delivery commitments in full and on time. Effective communication and relationship management with suppliers are key to this role, alongside proficiency in ERP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and oversee purchase orders for contract manufacturing using Anvyl, Sage, and NetSuite, based on supply planning input.
- Transmit purchase orders to suppliers, confirm receipt and terms acceptance, and keep all orders updated with precise quantities, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with supply planning and production to process PO amendments and monitor inventory to adjust procurement accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure timely deliveries, resolve issues, and communicate progress to internal teams.
- Work with sourcing to maintain current supplier pricing, manage RFPs, evaluate samples, and explore alternative sourcing options.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to secure dependable supply and maintain proactive communication.
- Assist negotiation of pricing, payment terms, and lead times to optimize costs and delivery timelines.
- Partner across supply planning, sourcing, quality, retail, and operations to align material needs, production schedules, and delivery priorities.
- Support sourcing efforts by contacting new suppliers, obtaining quotes, ordering samples, and updating supplier data for comparison and assessment.
- Monitor and report procurement metrics such as lead time adherence, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and interdepartmental communication.
- Occasional travel for industry events, vendor visits, and company manufacturing site inspections.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred.
- Proven ability to process purchase orders and collaborate directly with suppliers.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and communication skills.
- Interest or experience in health, wellness, personal care, or eCommerce sectors.
- Experience in consumer products is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated problem solver who acts with urgency and resourcefulness even under imperfect conditions.
- Accountable and outcome-driven with a commitment to quality and team support.
- Positive attitude, supportive teammate, and good sense of humor.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000 annually, dependent on experience and market rates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k with company match, paid time off, healthy snacks, frequent company events, and complimentary product offerings.
