Business Intelligence Developer I, Google Cloud

About the Role

Google Cloud teams collaborate with educational institutions, businesses, and government entities to enhance productivity, mobility, and collaboration. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will empower sales teams by managing budgeting, planning, and analytic processes, leveraging Google products such as Google Workspace and Chrome. Your impact will be in customer segmentation, acquisition, forecasting marketing trends, and identifying new market opportunities.

The role involves crafting and maintaining BI solutions by designing data marts, building pipelines, and automating reporting systems to present actionable insights to leadership. Working cross-functionally, you’ll deliver high-quality data solutions aligned with organizational growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse teams to define, design, and test AI agents integrated with current data pipelines to build scalable frameworks automating actionable business intelligence delivery.
• Construct data infrastructure involving SQL scripting, data pipeline creation, data warehousing, model development, and dashboard design focused on usability.
• Convert raw data into strategic insights by creating data models, marts, and automating reports that provide leadership with clear business and operational performance metrics.
• Take ownership of projects from inception through completion to guarantee relevant, accurate data and insights that drive business growth.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in SQL query writing and data pipeline construction.
• Proven background in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering.
• Experience with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI for dashboard and visualization creation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting data-driven sales operations, consulting, program management, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R, JavaScript, Go) for data handling, analysis, and automation.
• Experience with collaborative code review systems and version control.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling methods.
• Strong communication abilities to explain complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Individual compensation depends on qualifications such as skills, experience, and education. The estimated salary range for this role in the U.S. is $116,000 to $167,000 USD annually, supplemented by a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
