Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to operate as the initial contact for incoming prospects and engage in proactive outreach to drive sales growth. This energetic, fast-paced position involves managing communications across phones, emails, and social media, primarily executing outbound campaigns supported by inbound leads. You will start by following a defined outbound sales playbook and gradually develop your own techniques and prospecting capabilities through continuous learning and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for new customers, collaborating closely with Business Development Managers.
- Manage various communication channels to set up meetings that enable closing sales opportunities.
- Implement and adapt established sales strategies while progressively personalizing and enhancing prospecting methods.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven expertise in new business acquisition and upselling in sales environments.
- Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and adapts well to dynamic, team-oriented settings.
- Strong customer service orientation with flexibility and openness to change.
- Ability to quickly assimilate training and thrive in a fast-moving workplace.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with KCS software applications within distributor sectors.
- Understanding of distributor market dynamics and product offerings.
- Exposure to CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, is advantageous.
