Business Development Manager - Project Logistics

Job Overview

This role involves developing and executing strategies to expand our project logistics and special cargo business, focusing on sectors such as energy, infrastructure, heavy engineering, and Oil & Gas. The candidate will work closely with operations to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of projects as well as cultivate and manage vendor relationships to achieve operational excellence and optimal costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational teams to assess project feasibility and achieve cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain vendor pools to secure competitive pricing and enhance operations.
• Design and implement business development plans specific to project logistics and special cargo, establishing a robust sales pipeline.
• Identify and engage new clients across relevant industries including energy, infrastructure, heavy engineering, and Oil & Gas.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complete project logistics for special cargo, such as over-dimensional or heavy lift shipments, from procurement through to site installation.
• Specialized skills in selling break-bulk shipments, air freight charters, and tankers.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and securing permits for specialized shipments.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with site mobilization/demobilization and commissioning logistics, including managing staging areas, sequencing loads, on-site storage, and reverse logistics for decommissioning, is advantageous.
• Flexible work location options including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam.
