Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead Shockbyte's growth within the B2B sector. The primary focus will involve establishing and expanding partnerships with game studios, promoting our orchestration platform, Shockbyte for Game Studios, and serving as the main liaison for our key partners.
Key Duties
- Develop and oversee the sales funnel targeting game studios, managing processes from lead sourcing to finalizing partnerships.
- Obtain exclusive POGS agreements where Shockbyte is the designated primary server host.
- Promote and increase uptake of the Shockbyte for Game Studios platform among both new and existing gaming studios.
- Serve as the main contact for vital partner relationships until account management staff are assigned.
- Participate in major gaming industry events worldwide such as GDC and Gamescom, handling numerous meetings and demos.
- Oversee negotiation and management of contracts with studios and third-party collaborators.
- Create and deliver polished presentations, proposals, and live demonstrations designed for executive and developer audiences.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline, or hold equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in business development, partnership growth, or sales roles, preferably within the gaming or tech sectors.
- Good understanding of the gaming industry, including familiarity with key events such as GDC and Gamescom.
- Outgoing personality skilled at continuous networking, frequently engaging with new contacts, and managing a demanding meeting schedule.
- Effective at delivering presentations, product demos, and closing business deals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship management abilities.
- Capable of independently building and maintaining a systematic and organized sales pipeline.
- Highly organized and detail-conscious when coordinating travel plans, scheduling meetings, and ensuring follow-ups are timely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or background in public relations or media engagement.
- Knowledge of software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud platforms, or server infrastructure.
- An established network within the gaming industry.
- Multilingual skills to support diverse communications.
