Role Overview
House of EdTech is hiring Business Development Trainees/Associates for its Kolkata office. This is an on-site sales role focused on promoting and selling the company’s online upskilling courses.
About the Company
House of EdTech (Goenka Kachave LLP) offers online learning programs across areas such as AI tools, MS Office, stock market, personal finance, data science, and more. The company works with in-house trainers and external creators, and its broader mission is to help 10 crore Indians build skills by 2027. It was founded by IIT Kharagpur alumni and has grown to 1,500+ employees, 10+ offices in India, and 400 Cr+ ARR.
Work Schedule
The working hours are 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Thursday is the weekly off, so the role follows a 6-day workweek.
What the Job Involves
- Reach out to potential customers by phone and introduce House of EdTech’s learning programs.
- Understand each prospect’s professional growth needs and suggest the most suitable course options.
- Present the value of programs related to Excel, Python, Power BI, and AI-based stock market learning.
- Develop trust with leads, follow up consistently, and work toward closing sales.
- Keep accurate records of conversations and sales updates in the CRM.
- Work with the marketing team to improve outreach and sales strategy.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is open to both freshers and candidates with prior sales or telecalling experience. A personal laptop is required for the role; alternatively, the candidate may rent one.
Compensation and Growth
The package goes up to 8 LPA, including up to 4 LPA fixed and up to 4 LPA variable pay. In addition, the role includes performance-based incentives, training on the company’s courses and sales methods, and strong career growth prospects in a fast-growing EdTech environment.
Additional Notes
The company is expanding its Kolkata team and is looking to hire 50 sales professionals for this position.
