Business Line / Function

The Market and Financing Services (MFS) IT team supports BP2S clients across several financial services, including cash services, foreign exchange, financing, securities lending, agent collateral management, independent valuation for OTC derivatives, and dealing services. The Triparty Agent Collateral Management application is designed to offer a secure, efficient, and well-structured platform for managing collateral linked to bilateral trading exposures such as repos, securities lending, OTC derivatives, and CCP clearing.

Role Overview

This Business Analyst role focuses on analyzing business needs and translating them into functional solutions for the Triparty Collateral Management application. The position works closely with product ownership and delivery teams to refine requirements, define solution approaches, prepare detailed documentation, support testing, and help ensure high-quality outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess business, production, security, and system requirements for the Triparty Collateral Management platform and evaluate their impact.
• Provide functional solutions and contribute to effort estimation.
• Support the product owner by shaping the business domain understanding, maintaining the backlog, and assisting with backlog grooming.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications and business requirement documents based on user needs.
• Facilitate conversations that clarify the problem statement and help the team define the right solution.
• Establish policies and rules that guide business decisions and behavior.
• Write BDD test scenarios for individual user stories.
• Carry out UAT for functional items and support defect reduction across IST, UAT, and production.
• Collaborate with business users and analysts to ensure the IT team delivers strong-quality outputs.
• Apply Agile practices and contribute in roles similar to Scrum Master or Product Owner where needed.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation plans, and escalate issues promptly to leads.
• Work independently while taking end-to-end ownership of assigned items.
• Maintain a collaborative environment through teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Deliver professional support with a strong customer-first mindset for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Build application, business, and functional understanding as part of ongoing contribution.
• Share ideas and strategy through presentations, demonstrations, and specifications, and help guide and coach team members.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong capital markets background with deep expertise in collateral management, specifically triparty collateral management.
• At least 3 years of experience in this domain.
• Solid knowledge of clearing, custody, and settlement across more than one market.
• Practical exposure to Agile working methods, with experience acting in Scrum Master or Product Owner-type responsibilities.
• Experience with test management and functional testing tools.
• Ability to write BRDs and detailed functional documentation.
• Good understanding of SQL queries.
• Strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail, discipline, reliability, and high motivation.
• Ability to learn quickly, work proactively, and operate with confidence.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
