Role summary
The Bellman will serve as one of the main guest contact points, helping shape first impressions through welcoming service and smooth coordination of porterage and arrival/departure activities. The position plays an important part in supporting guest satisfaction, front-of-house operations, and overall service quality.
Key duties
- Greet guests and residents professionally, offering guidance and recommendations about hotel facilities.
- Oversee the safe handling, storage, and retrieval of all baggage arriving, departing, or held in storage.
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out experiences in coordination with the doorman and reception team.
- Track valet parking, taxi movement, and hired-car arrangements according to hotel procedures and priority rules.
- Respond quickly to guest questions and concerns, escalating security matters or complaints to the Duty Manager when needed.
- Keep the entrance and driveway operating to the required service standards and code of conduct.
- Support promotion of hotel facilities and inter-hotel sales opportunities.
- Follow workplace safety and health requirements in all tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide personalized and efficient service.
- Protect the confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by management.
