About the role
This position is part of Accor’s hospitality team in Dubai and focuses on providing smooth guest arrival, stay, and departure support. The role combines luggage handling, guest assistance, lobby coordination, basic concierge support, and front-line service delivery to help create a safe, welcoming, and efficient hotel experience.

Key responsibilities
- Manage guest baggage promptly and carefully at arrival, during the stay, at checkout, and in the luggage storage area, while safeguarding guest belongings.
- Make sure all luggage carries the proper baggage tag.
- Park guest and visitor vehicles in the assigned hotel parking spaces.
- Address guest concerns and requests, then coordinate with the relevant department to ensure quick resolution.
- Issue room key cards and maintain strict control to support guest security.
- Escalate unusual incidents, special requests, and operational issues to the concierge desk.
- Follow hotel accident-prevention procedures and stay alert to safety requirements.
- Keep the concierge desk area clean, hygienic, orderly, and secure.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and supporting documents in line with hotel standards.
- Support lobby paging activities under the guidance of the concierge team.
- Use suggestive selling techniques and help guests become familiar with hotel services and facilities.
- Work with the front office to protect guest folio payments and handle scanty baggage procedures and bag release on departure.
- Escort guests to their rooms and, for first-time guests, explain room and hotel features such as lighting, television, safe, air conditioning, and fire exits.
- Ensure luggage is positioned properly so guests can unpack easily.
- Greet guests warmly at arrival and departure and guide them in the correct direction.
- Check the logbook, review pending items, and identify any special assignments for the day.
- Stay informed about hotel occupancy, events, groups, functions, and VIP arrivals.
- Prepare and file concierge desk reports and related documents in an organized manner under supervision.
- Deliver courteous, prompt, and helpful service while responding to guest inquiries at all times.
- Pass on all important shift information to the incoming team for smooth operations.
- Maintain regular contact with guests to ensure issues and complaints are addressed efficiently and politely.
- Coordinate timely delivery of messages, newspapers, parcels, and packages according to hotel policy.
- Arrange guest transportation needs such as limousine service, shuttle bus, and car rental through the on-site rental partner.
- Answer telephone calls at the concierge desk.
- Review and update the logbook as required.
- Inspect equipment and report concerns where needed.
- Present a smart, neat appearance and maintain a cheerful, service-oriented attitude at all times.
- Oversee daily operational tasks within the scope of the role.
- Provide regular updates on daily happenings to the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
- Stay knowledgeable about fire safety and first-aid procedures.
- Handle guest complaints and escalate them to the manager when necessary.
- Stay fully informed about the day’s “Talk of the Walk” and the hotel’s daily activities.
- Maintain proper grooming standards consistently.
- Attend training sessions as scheduled.
- Cooperate respectfully with team members and colleagues across departments.
- Keep up-to-date product knowledge of hotel facilities and services.
Requirements
- A university degree in any discipline is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a comparable role within a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
