Training Opportunity

Starting September 1st, 2027, Deutsche Bahn InfraGO AG Verden (Aller) is offering a 3-year apprenticeship as a Gleisbauer:in (rail track builder). The vocational school is located in Hamburg, with the training workshop based in Hamburg-Harburg.

Training Program

  • Work outdoors on construction sites with your team, focusing on track maintenance and installation.
  • Install new rails and switches, inspect for damages, and replace defective components.
  • Use modern machinery to renew the ballast beneath the tracks.
  • Ensure all measurements are accurate to guarantee smooth and safe train operations.
  • Contribute significantly to the team from the beginning to maintain reliable rail service.

Candidate Profile

  • Successful completion of school with a German-recognized certificate or expected completion soon.
  • German language skills at least at B2 level.
  • Preference for outdoor hands-on work rather than desk jobs.
  • Motivated, dependable, and enjoys working within a team.
  • Flexible regarding varying work locations, shifts including night work.
