About High Rollers
High Rollers offers a vibrant atmosphere featuring six ten-pin bowling lanes, three pool tables, large screens for entertainment, and over 48 craft beers on tap. Guests enjoy value-priced food in a spacious beer hall alongside activities such as live DJ performances, especially during late-night hours. Happy Hour features half-price bowling from 3 to 5pm on weekdays and all day Wednesday, attracting families and groups for memorable celebrations and party packages.
Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in the daily management of High Rollers, collaborating closely with the General Manager to oversee all employee operations. Key responsibilities include managing inventory and ordering essentials, optimizing profitability, and ensuring guest experiences align with Banff Hospitality Collective's values. The role also involves working with the culinary team and engaging with senior management for strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all venue operations effectively, utilizing sound judgment to make timely decisions.
- Maintain company standards and service levels aimed at boosting sales and controlling costs related to food, beverage, supplies, utilities, and labor.
- Complete all financial tasks such as invoicing and reporting, as well as personnel and payroll administration accurately and punctually in line with company policies.
- Oversee sanitation practices covering food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of both kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure adherence to operational standards, company policies, and all relevant federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
- Maintain a professional restaurant image including cleanliness, employee uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Embody and promote the venue's brand, encouraging the team to consistently deliver on the brand promise.
- Focus on exceptional guest service by addressing complaints appropriately and promoting customer loyalty, while fostering a positive employee culture.
- Lead by example with a consistent presence on the floor throughout shifts.
- Prepare for and actively participate in regular planning meetings covering weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual intervals.
Qualifications and Skills

- Possession of ProServe certification is mandatory.
- At least two years of experience within the food and beverage industry is advantageous.
