Role Overview
As Deepgram expands globally, APAC is a critical growth region. The APAC Partner Business Development Manager will grow and scale the partner ecosystem across ANZ, ASEAN, Japan, Korea, India, and Greater China. The position involves driving partner-led sales activities involving hyperscalers, ISVs, CCaaS/CX platforms, GSIs, telcos, and integrators. This cross-functional role collaborates with various internal teams to establish Deepgram as a leading Voice AI provider in APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strategic partner relationships tailored to the diverse APAC markets.
- Develop joint value propositions, co-sell motions, and go-to-market plans for the region.
- Drive sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with initiatives with hyperscalers, ISVs, GSIs, telcos, and system integrators.
- Generate and advance pipeline primarily sourced or influenced by partners across APAC markets.
- Support sales efforts through client presentations, workshops, and negotiations.
- Identify and close new partner-driven business opportunities within ANZ, ASEAN, Japan, Korea, India, and Greater China.
- Ensure accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting aligned with global revenue goals.
- Expand the partner ecosystem by onboarding new strategic partners aligned with Deepgram's regional priorities.
- Assist in launching new partner motions, regional programs, and GTM initiatives.
- Collaborate internally to produce partner enablement content and localized marketing materials.
- Represent Deepgram at partner and customer engagements both virtually and in-person within APAC.
- Stay current on APAC market trends, regulatory environment, AI adoption rates, and sovereign AI policies.
- Advocate internal alignment with the unique needs and dynamics of the APAC region.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable background in business development, alliance management, partnerships, or enterprise sales in technology sectors.
- Experience driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and co-selling across the APAC region.
- Deep familiarity with business conditions across multiple APAC markets including ANZ, ASEAN, Japan, Korea, India, and Greater China.
- Proven partnership experience with cloud providers, ISVs, GSIs, telcos, or CX platforms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Analytically minded with disciplined operational and forecasting skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
- Highly collaborative across global teams and time zones.
- Willingness for travel across APAC as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant exposure to AI sectors, especially Voice AI, Speech AI, or CCaaS markets.
- Existing networks within AWS, GCP, Azure, or prominent APAC GSIs and telcos.
- Experience in launching new partner programs or GTM initiatives from inception.
- Proficiency in a second APAC language such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
