Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement software applications according to defined specifications using relevant programming tools.
• Evaluate designs to determine coding and integration steps based on project goals and standards.
• Enhance and modify components of end-user application software across various platforms including local, networked, and online.
• Develop and execute testing protocols for assigned application sections, troubleshoot code issues, and recommend enhancements.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize both code and application efficiency.
• Maintain and update software post-deployment ensuring functionality and currency.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams on software development initiatives.
• Support both internal and external software products and propose innovations aligned with market trends.
• Participate within project teams comprising software engineers and external partners to build cost-effective and quality solutions for designated application segments.
• Communicate regularly with internal and outsourced developers regarding design progress, project status, and issue resolutions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related domain, or equivalent professional experience/competence.
• Typically 9 to 12 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in application programming or engineering; advanced degrees with minimal experience also considered.

Preferred Certifications

• Certification in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or equivalents.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding and application of Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in web frameworks such as Angular and React.js.
• Experience with APIs, automation, DevOps, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in full stack development covering Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and microservices architecture.
• Awareness of software scalability, development processes, and engineering principles.
