After Hours/Night Shift Dispatcher

About the Role

Freightech Inc., a trucking company based in Romeoville, IL, is seeking a skilled After Hours/Night Shift Dispatcher to join their team. This role primarily supports overnight operations in the U.S. trucking market by assisting drivers, monitoring loads, and ensuring timely shipment management.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously track shipments and monitor driver locations throughout the night.
• Maintain communication with drivers, customers, and internal staff to coordinate activities.
• Address delays, vehicle breakdowns, and other unforeseen challenges promptly and professionally.
• Provide after-hours assistance and support to drivers during shifts.
• Keep dispatch and tracking systems updated with accurate information.
• Organize and maintain records and documentation related to shipments and drivers.
• Ensure all operations comply with transportation laws and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a dispatcher within the U.S. trucking industry is mandatory.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with dispatching and shipment tracking software.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours without supervision.
• Demonstrated reliability, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
