Role Overview
The Admissions Executive is instrumental in delivering a hospitable, structured, and relationship-focused admissions journey for prospective and current families. Collaborating with the Admissions team and cross-school colleagues, this role demands excellent customer service, responsible task management, and an alignment with the school's ethos and community values.
Key Duties
- Act as a courteous and professional Admissions Office representative during family visits, phone and email communications, campus tours, and related interactions.
- Assist and guide the SAS Community Ambassadors in their daily responsibilities.
- Plan and coordinate both in-person and virtual admissions events.
- Organize visits from corporate partners, VIPs, relocation agencies, and prospective families.
- Lead individual and group campus tours to engage potential families.
- Maintain a welcoming, orderly, and visitor-ready admissions reception area.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Admissions and support departmental priorities.
- Contribute operational support to the Admissions team and adapt to shifting needs.
- Cover front desk duties for Community Ambassadors when required and manage communications like emails and calls.
- Handle departmental purchasing, maintain supplies, and coordinate hospitality resources.
- Manage work requests and facility maintenance orders relevant to the department.
- Schedule English language proficiency testing for applicants and assist with Ministry of Education waiver processes.
- Coordinate onboarding communications for new families and manage leave of absence procedures.
- Prepare and dispatch admissions-related communications using the admissions database.
- Maintain organized and confidential admissions records and correspondence.
- Contribute ideas for operational improvements and support departmental projects to enhance admissions workflows and family experiences.
- Comply with all relevant school policies and participate in staff meetings and planning activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a diploma or higher qualification from a recognized institution or an equivalent credential.
- Display a genuine passion for working with people and delivering exceptional experiences.
- Exhibit strong organizational and office management skills.
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.
- Have experience with Google Workspace tools and database management systems.
- Show initiative, flexibility, and a collaborative, service-focused attitude.
- Preferably possess at least two years of experience in admissions, customer service, hospitality, event coordination, school administration, or support for internationally mobile families.
- Professional-level Mandarin language skills are preferred.
