Role Overview
We are recruiting an Administrative Support Specialist based in Winnipeg to join our team and contribute to daily administrative and financial tasks supporting the executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage finance-related tasks including billing, recording payments, correcting and reissuing invoices, and resolving payment discrepancies such as missing, under or overpayments.
- Offer customer service support addressing inquiries, complaints, or feedback from clients, hospitals, and personal care homes.
- Provide administrative assistance to all executive leadership members as needed.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education, coupled with relevant administrative or clerical experience.
- Strong analytical abilities for information assessment and problem resolution.
- Effective planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management capabilities.
- Proficient with office technologies including computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and telephone systems.
- Clean background check including vulnerable sector, child abuse, and adult abuse clearances.
- Demonstrated experience using Windows-based computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Competency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with discretion in handling confidential information.
- Consistently positive employment history.
- Keyboarding skills of at least 30 words per minute along with excellent computer proficiency.
- Professional telephone etiquette reflecting in interactions and references.
- Highly developed listening skills.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: On-site in Winnipeg, Manitoba
Starting Salary: $18.50 per hour
