Role Summary
The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating, designing, implementing, and assessing a variety of individualized and group activity programs tailored to meet the functional abilities and personal interests of residents at the nursing home.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute scheduled individual and group activities that reflect the resident’s needs and preferences.
- Organize and engage residents in social, cognitive, and reality orientation activities promoting intellectual and social stimulation.
- Offer in-room activities to residents who are confined or prefer to remain in their rooms, aligned with their lifelong interests.
- Conduct comprehensive activity assessments and document findings in care plans that highlight the resident’s functional status, challenges, and interests.
- Maintain and review activity-related records on resident charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and circulate a monthly calendar showcasing planned activities.
- Implement ongoing quality improvements for the activity programs to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
Additional Information
Positions are available on a part-time basis (18 hours weekly) and full-time basis (40 hours weekly), offering flexibility to meet operational needs.
