Accountant - Remote Contract Opportunity

Overview

This role is for a Finance Expert working on a contract basis with flexible remote working hours ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week. Compensation varies between $10 and $55 per hour depending on experience and skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and verify the accuracy and completeness of financial documents, including invoices and ledgers.
• Conduct variance analyses and perform account reconciliations to uncover and resolve inconsistencies.
• Assess financial data exported from ERP systems and deliver concise, actionable feedback on findings.
• Assist in documenting and managing financial reporting tasks, focusing on accounts payable/receivable workflows and the month-end closing process.
• Analyze both actual and simulated finance assignments, linking evidence to expected results with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effectively communicate complex financial insights in written form, ensuring clarity and precision.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for analyzing and reporting financial data.
• Practical experience in accounting-related functions such as AP/AR, financial reporting, reconciliation, or financial planning and analysis.
• Competency in interpreting ERP-generated reports, ledgers, and related documentation.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the skill to detect and clarify financial discrepancies.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, emphasizing clear expression.
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, along with proven relevant work experience.
