Overview
Suvarnakala Pvt Ltd is looking for a meticulous and reliable Accountant to oversee all financial aspects of its jewellery retail operations located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This role involves maintaining precise accounting data, managing inventory-related finances, ensuring tax compliance, and generating comprehensive financial documentation.
Key Duties
- Maintain thorough daily accounting records encompassing sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile transactions pertaining to cash, bank accounts, and credit card payments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable effectively.
- Prepare and file GST returns, ensuring adherence to tax laws.
- Handle payroll processing and maintain employee salary records.
- Reconcile jewellery stock including gold, diamond, silver, and other precious metals with accounting ledgers and stock reports.
- Record all purchases of valuable metals and inventory items.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor customer advances, handle repair charges, and track order payments.
- Maintain records related to fixed assets and calculate depreciation appropriately.
- Enforce compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
- Assist in financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within jewellery, retail, or luxury goods industries.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards is essential.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally Prime, Busy, Marg ERP, or similar platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of producing financial reports.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

- Experience managing accounting for inventory.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with jewellery inventory management and knowledge of hallmarking and jewellery billing procedures is favored.
