Position Overview
We are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team, responsible for supporting strategic and operational functions within the Finance department and collaborating with the Administration Team across Human Resources, Operations, and Finance initiatives. This role demands advanced computer skills, especially in Excel, and a business university degree. Enrollment in the CPA Canada program is required, and prior agency experience is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and manage client budget control reports and facilitate related meetings, including detailed revenue and budget analysis.
- Handle accounts receivable, provide backup support for accounts payable activities, and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Assist in managing timesheet processes, docket tracking, and ongoing maintenance.
- Enforce internal controls concerning expense approvals and docket validations.
- Ensure accuracy and preparation of supporting financial documentation.
- Serve as backup for junior accountant duties during month-end closing.
- Lead intercompany reconciliations and represent BIMM in this capacity.
- Support the timely collection and assembly of month-end financial reports.
- Assist with audit documentation preparation and respond to audit inquiries.
- Prepare and submit monthly HST and federal tax filings.
- Contribute to the upkeep and administration of ERP systems.
- Provide various finance administrative supports and perform ad hoc reporting assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Mandatory enrollment in the CPA Canada certification program.
- Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in finance and accounting.
- Preferred experience within agency environments.
- University degree in business discipline.
- Proficient computer skills with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Compensation
The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from 70000 to 80000 CAD, with final offer based on candidate’s location, expertise, and qualifications.
