Role Overview
As an Account Manager within the Singapore SME & Growth team, you will manage a portfolio of 200 to 300 existing small and medium enterprise customers. Your objective will be to unlock new revenue opportunities by identifying upselling and cross-selling prospects, boosting product engagement, and maximizing customer lifetime value on the Airwallex platform. Collaboration with sales, product, marketing, operations, and strategy teams will be essential to translate real-time data into revenue streams while offering exceptional client support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively seek and execute revenue-generating opportunities within your assigned SME customer portfolio by leveraging the full Airwallex product suite.
- Establish and nurture strong multi-level relationships, including with C-level executives, to thoroughly understand client business models, address challenges, and provide tailored solutions.
- Maintain resilience in managing long-term customer relationships to minimize churn risks.
- Analyze real-time client data and transaction patterns to identify promising accounts and swiftly convert signals into business opportunities.
- Conduct timely and high-impact outreach through phone, WhatsApp, and email immediately after identifying potential leads.
- Maintain an organized, data-driven sales pipeline using Salesforce or similar CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance visibility.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues, relay client feedback, and influence product development.
- Serve as an advocate for Airwallex by educating customers on maximizing usage of the Business Account and other products.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ experience in B2B account management focused on growth within SME clients, emphasizing revenue expansion and product adoption.
- Fluency in English and Chinese, capable of leading commercial discussions and negotiations.
- Experience navigating complex sales cycles and engaging senior stakeholders, ideally in multi-product contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs and revenue targets through accountability and a success-driven approach.
- Excellent relationship-building skills that foster trust and effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
- Analytical mindset adept at interpreting data and client usage trends to generate actionable insights and simplify complex problems.
- Technical curiosity and readiness to learn about Airwallex’s offerings and fintech environment.
- Adaptability to fast-paced settings with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable with ambiguity and process improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to seeing client issues through to resolution.
