About the Internship
This internship provides hands-on experience in inspecting and analyzing underwater structural defects using advanced robotic survey solutions developed by an IIT Madras-based startup. The role includes validating and editing videos related to underwater inspections, studying defects in concrete and steel underwater structures, and handling operational and non-operational data relevant to these tasks.
Responsibilities
- Review and refine videos obtained from field inspections of underwater structures.
- Analyze methods for detecting structural defects in submerged concrete and steel frameworks.
- Organize and manage data from various operational activities and non-operational sources.
- Perform fundamental tasks using MS Excel and HTML.
- Compile, analyze, and summarize data to prepare detailed product reports.
- Create structural drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
- Communicate effectively within the team and possibly with other stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Civil Engineering students or have relevant skills in this domain.
- Availability for a full-time, on-site internship starting between August 7, 2026, and September 11, 2026.
- Commitment to a 6-month internship duration is mandatory.
