Job Summary
We are looking to hire a seasoned Vice President of Operations to take charge of comprehensive manufacturing operations. This executive-level leader will direct production, supply chain, procurement, warehouse management, quality control, and bear full profit and loss accountability in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all manufacturing functions, including production scheduling, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, quality assurance, and warranty handling.
- Implement and champion LEAN manufacturing methodologies to boost productivity and operational efficiency.
- Manage Master Production Scheduling (MPS) for optimal resource allocation and production flow.
- Administer purchasing, inventory control, vendor relations, and Just-In-Time inventory systems.
- Lead deployment and refinement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP/MRP platforms.
- Enhance production planning, inventory tracking, labor analysis, and operational reporting tools.
- Develop and sustain quality management systems aimed at minimizing defects, rework, and warranty issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to foster operational excellence across manufacturing processes.
- Control the full P&L responsibilities, budget management, and financial results.
- Build and guide cross-functional teams spanning production, procurement, warehousing, logistics, quality, and supply chain functions.
- Create scalable manufacturing workflows to support business expansion plans.
- Work closely with executive management to fulfill strategic corporate goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive leadership experience in high-volume industrial or vehicle manufacturing operations.
- Practical expertise with ERP/MRP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
- Deep knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and operational best practices.
- Proficiency in managing production planning, procurement, supply chain, warehouse, inventory, and logistics functions.
- Strong grasp of manufacturing costing, labor efficiency, and financial performance metrics.
- Documented capability managing full profit and loss statements.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making aptitude.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Experience
- Background in vehicle manufacturing, specialized assembly, configure-to-order, industrial, or heavy equipment manufacturing sectors.
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in senior or executive operations leadership roles.
- Track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Experience in enhancing operational productivity, quality, and financial outcomes.
- Strong foundation in manufacturing accounting, cost management, and financial oversight.
