Vehicle Inspector

About the Role

RAC is seeking Vehicle Assessment Technicians to join its Inspections team at Chelmsford. In this role, you will contribute to RAC's reputation for excellent service by performing detailed vehicle condition evaluations at client locations. Responsibilities

• Perform inspections according to set procedures, completing reports on a PDA device.
• Prepare condition reports for used vehicles.
• Support daily site inspections working collaboratively with team members.
• Maintain effective communication with customer contacts.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 certification or equivalent experience in the motor trade sector.
• Strong mechanical understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles is beneficial.
• Effective written communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
• A full UK driving licence is mandatory.
