UI Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled UI Developer for a contract position with remote flexibility. This role offers compensation between $30 to $90 per hour and requires a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain sophisticated user interfaces leveraging React, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimize complex UI components utilizing React and TypeScript alongside modern frontend technologies.
• Translate design assets from Figma into precise, reusable components leveraging Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and Bootstrap for styling.
• Ensure consistent and adaptive designs compatible across browsers and devices following top coding standards.
• Apply performance enhancements and guarantee web accessibility compliance (WCAG) throughout applications.
• Integrate frontend elements seamlessly with RESTful APIs to enable robust data interaction.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and project stakeholders through clear communication.
• Take ownership of frontend architecture, advocate for maintainable, clean code, and participate actively in peer code reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Substantial experience primarily focused on React and TypeScript development.
• Advanced skills in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficient in responsive design techniques and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Expertise in DOM manipulation, REST API integration, and frontend performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Proven capability to accurately convert Figma designs into maintainable, high-quality code.
• Comprehensive understanding of web accessibility standards and user experience fundamentals.
