About the Role
The Travel Plumbing Superintendent oversees all plumbing system installation activities on construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution at job sites. This position demands extensive travel and leadership in managing personnel and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate plumbing installations across multiple sites, ensuring timely delivery and precise installation.
- Supervise and adjust field personnel numbers based on project demands.
- Oversee subcontractor tasks to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop, track, and follow project schedules.
- Attend all essential site meetings for project updates and changes.
- Support the formulation and execution of project plans.
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and promote safety culture on sites.
- Carry out and document weekly safety toolbox meetings.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and adhere to Hazard Communication standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff, Project Managers, and stakeholders.
- Handle personnel activities such as recruitment, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and vacation planning.
- Keep accurate and timely records of as-built drawings and documentation.
- Inspect and report on tools, equipment, and safety gear conditions.
- Ensure job sites are maintained to a high level of organization and professionalism.
- Maintain compliance of company vehicles with manufacturer requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a Plumbing Superintendent on construction projects.
- At least ten years of direct experience with plumbing systems.
- Comprehensive technical understanding of plumbing installation processes and industry standards.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various project sites.
