Role Overview
Join our team as a Trainee Lifeguard at a vibrant waterpark, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure guests have an enjoyable and safe experience in the pools, rapids, and water slides of our Splash Waterworld. This role demands meticulous attention to safety while delivering outstanding customer interaction and service. You'll also lead and manage poolside activities, helping to create memorable experiences for all visitors.
Training and Qualifications
If you already hold a lifeguard certification, that's excellent; if not, we will provide comprehensive training through the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course, fully funded by us to launch your career in lifeguarding.
Working Hours and Flexibility
This full-time position involves approximately 35 hours each week with varied shifts available daily, emphasizing availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. During major holiday periods, you might be asked to assist in the Bars department, offering an opportunity to gain additional skills and meet new colleagues. The business runs every day of the week, so flexibility, reliability, and punctuality are critical as you become an integral part of the team.
Accommodation
For applicants aged 18 or over who are relocating, on-site accommodation options might be available.
Candidate Profile
We seek energetic individuals who are naturally personable and capable of engaging with a diverse range of people. Strong swimming skills and acute attention to detail are essential to effectively oversee busy pool areas. While prior lifeguard experience is advantageous, candidates without certification will receive full training.
You will collaborate closely with a supportive team but also handle independent supervision responsibilities.
