Tool Room Technician - Support O&M Spinner Block

Position Overview

The Tool Room Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing tools and equipment essential for manufacturing processes. This position ensures all machinery and tools operate efficiently to uphold production quality and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance and repairs of tools, machinery, and equipment to guarantee their optimal performance and prolonged service life.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs, including machining, welding, and electrical fixes; replace or refurbish parts as required.
• Organize and manage the tool room inventory, storage, and tracking systems to maintain availability and readiness of all tools and equipment.
• Implement inventory control procedures and ensure tools are calibrated and meet safety compliance standards.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to troubleshoot tool-related problems, assist in tool setup and adjustment for various jobs, and conduct routine inspections to prevent production issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of tool maintenance, repairs, replacements, and inventory usage; prepare reports on tool performance and maintenance schedules.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously to sustain a secure work environment; adhere to company policies and regulatory standards regarding tool usage and management.
• Identify and suggest improvements in tool maintenance techniques and practices; stay informed about new tools, technologies, and best industry practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in tool maintenance and repair roles.
• Expertise in handling hand and power tools, along with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical domains.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with teamwork capabilities.
