Television Licence Field Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Television Licence Field Officer to join our team in Cardiff, CF83 postcode area. This role involves independent field work visiting homes to discuss TV licence obligations and assist customers in understanding and managing their licence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visits to residences within the CF83 postcode to identify licensing needs
• Engage customers respectfully to explain TV licence regulations and options
• Assist customers in establishing payment plans as applicable
• Accurately document visit results using mobile technology
• Work autonomously in daily scheduling and decision-making
• Occasionally provide testimony in court as part of enforcement efforts

Candidate Profile

• Full UK driving licence is mandatory
• Residence within the CF83 postcode required
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capable of maintaining professionalism and resilience in various situations
• Detail-oriented with accurate recording skills
• Competent in using mobile devices and applications for work purposes
• Independent work ethic with solid judgement and problem-solving skills
• Flexible to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends

Work Pattern

The role demands 36.5 hours per week with 12 hours scheduled between 4pm and 9pm Monday to Friday or anytime during weekends, offering flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of £31,650
• Company vehicle provided for work and personal use or an annual allowance of £3,700 if using a personal car
