Role Overview

This position is for a Mechanical Test House Technician responsible for carrying out physical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing on steel samples. The role focuses on ensuring tests are completed correctly and on time, with results documented accurately in line with established procedures and work instructions so that product quality and standards can be verified.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing on steel specimens with accuracy and within required timelines.
• Prepare and report test outcomes in accordance with standard procedures and defined work instructions.
• Check that steel products meet the necessary quality and technical standards through proper test evaluation.

Experience and Background

The role requires around 5 years of experience overall, with 2 to 5 years specifically in physical and mechanical testing of rolled products such as reinforcing bars, wire rods, and sections in an integrated steel plant environment.

Education and Language

Candidates should hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgy, or be a Science graduate. Working knowledge of English is required.
