Team Member - Accounts - Site

About the Role

The Team Member - Accounts - Site position is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions at the project site. This includes managing daily financial transactions, processing payments to vendors, handling employee reimbursements, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to all statutory regulations. The role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial data, enabling prompt financial reporting, and liaising with internal departments and external parties to ensure financial operations align with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record daily financial activities such as invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries within the accounting system.
• Aid in the processing of vendor invoices by collaborating with procurement and site teams for validation and approval.
• Ensure punctual payments to vendors and service providers, adhering to contractual terms and correctly deducting GST and TDS where applicable.
• Conduct routine bank reconciliations and promptly address any discrepancies in conjunction with the bank and internal finance teams.
• Contribute to monthly financial closing procedures, including detailed ledger reviews, preparing supporting schedules, and generating financial reports.
• Facilitate internal and statutory audits by providing necessary data and documentation, and ensure all audit-related queries are resolved efficiently.
